Major regulatory modifications are about to change the appearance and the contents of ingredient lists and Nutrition Facts tables. Why all these modifications? What should we know?<\/p>\n<p>This seminar will present the <strong>new regulatory requirements<\/strong> regarding:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the declaration of sugars and food colour additives;<\/li>\n<li>the new core nutrients to include in the Nutrition Facts table;<\/li>\n<li>modifications to the established daily values and reference amount;<\/li>\n<li>new requirements for the determination of the serving size for nutritional labelling; and<\/li>\n<li>the new graphic requirements for improved readability and uniform presentation.<\/li>\n<li>a new health claim authorized for fresh fruits and vegetables.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Finally, our speaker will present Eurofins\u2019s 2016 SIAL Innovation award winning <strong><em>MesurACC<\/em><\/strong><sup>\u00ae<\/sup>, a food labelling typographical tool designed to verify food labels with respect to the various typographical requirements of food labelling regulations.<\/p>\n<p>Presented by Diana Ickx, Nutritionist and Project Manager at Eurofins<br \/>\n to members of CIB\u00ceM (Conseil des industries bioalimentaires de l\u2019\u00cele de Montr\u00e9al)<br \/>\n Thursday, February 9, 2017<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Canadian food labelling is evolving.
